The American Rosie the Riveter Association – Fort Worth Chapter, The Vintage Flying Museum and the Fort Worth Rose Society will be unveiling a new Rosie the Riveter Mural in the Rosie Memorial Rose Garden at Vintage Flying Museum. The Rose Memorial Rose Garden was created in 2019 to honor the Rosie of North Texas. Haltom City Mayor Dr. Troung and Fort Worth Council Member Carlos Flores will be the guest speakers joining local Rosie Families as we unveil our Rosie the Riveter mural. North Richland Hills artists Lisa Henson and her daughter Nicole Damon created this mural to honor North Texas Rosie the Riveters. In addition to Rosie, this mural will feature aircraft that were built right here in North Texas at places like Consolidated Aircraft, North American Aviation and Vought Aircraft.

The Rosie the Riveter Memorial Rose Garden at Vintage Flying Museum is a collaborative effort between the American the Riveter Association Fort Worth Chapter, Vintage Flying Museum and the Fort Worth Rose Society. The Memorial Garden was created to honor and recognize the all women who served our country as Rosie the Riveters but especially those who served in North Texas.

The Vintage Flying Museum is a unique “working” museum where visitors are able to see what it takes to “Keep ‘em Flying”

We are home to 5 separate non-profit groups all working to preserve America’s rich aviation history.

  • Greatest Generation Aircraft
  • Commemorative Air Force Invader Squadron
  • American Rosie the Riveter Association – Fort Worth Chapter
  • PGM Aviation
  • Cowtown Skywarrior EA-3B Association

Most of the aircraft are airworthy and fly on a regular basis for air shows and demonstrations throughout the year. We are completely staffed by volunteers who share our love for aviation history and enjoy sharing it with people of every age from all over the world.
